Argenti is Hampshire County Council’s approved provider of telecare equipment such as falls alarms, tracker devices and flood monitors. All of our personal alarms and falls detectors use the latest digital technology, offering a secure, fast and reliable connection to our 24/7 monitoring centre
Get help with the British Red Cross. We provide practical, local and emotional support to people around the UK. The Red Cross can provide equipment such wheelchairs and commodes as well as offering other support services like cost of living support, mobility support, refugee services emergencies in the UK and international services.
Whatever you’re dealing with: ageing, illness, disability, or caring for someone, we’re here to help you regain your independence and have the confidence to tackle daily tasks. If you need help with any of the products on site, we have a team of Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants on hand to give you product advice as part of our Expert Advice Service. For free.
Our free home fire safety visits are available to support vulnerable members of our community to ensure they are protected from fire risks. Our dedicated team of firefighters, community safety officers and volunteers have a varied range of skills including British Sign Language (BSL) and are able to offer visits that are Dementia Friendly.
Transportation
Alton Community Care is a volunteer transport service for people attending medical appointments who do not have their own transport and are unable to access public transport. We provide transport to healthcare appointments including: GP, dentist, optician, podiatrist, physiotherapist, Hospital appointments in Alton, Basingstoke, Winchester, Farnham and sometimes further afield, and Cardiac Rehab in Alton.
The scheme allows the holder use of designated parking spaces, in some circumstances parking on single and double yellow lines, and free parking at parking meters in some areas. The scheme applies to Blue Badge holders as drivers or when being carried as a passenger.
Connect Call & Go makes life easier for you. Your choice for pick-up and drop-off – We can come and get you from home, or drive you between locations in Alton, Four Marks, Petersfield, Liss, Liphook, Medstead, Whitehill & Bordon, and surrounding villages. Fully accessible – All our vehicles are wheelchair accessible. Our safety-trained drivers are ready to help you board and provide assistance during your journey. An affordable option – Our fares are cheaper than local bus services, and a lot kinder to your wallet than a taxi. Helpers ride for free – Let us know when you register if you need to bring an essential companion with you. We are a Companion & Driving service; we work with many clients from all walks of life across the UK, helping them get out of the house to appointments, shopping trips or social events. If you or a family member need extra compassion with day-to-day life, we can give you independence and peace of mind.
Community Transport in East Hampshire – working with various partners such as Community First and Hampshire County Council, East Hampshire District Council supports and funds various community transport schemes. See website for full listing of local support available.
We provide transport for people in Four Marks unable to drive themselves and who may need a lift to non-emergency medical appointments with their doctor, dentist, hospital etc.
